Ukrainian tennis player Lesya Tsurenko beat Russian Anna Kalinskaya in the second round of the WTA 250 tournament in Hua Hin (Thailand).

The fight lasted two hours and 23 minutes.. Tsurenko defeated her rival from the aggressor country in the first set, lost in the second game in a tie-break, after which she took the decisive set. The result of the match is 0:6, 7:6, 4:6 in favor of our compatriot.

Kalinskaya played at the tournament in a neutral status due to the war of conquest that the Russian Federation continues to wage against Ukraine.

In the quarterfinals, Tsurenko will play against German Tatyana Maria, who defeated another Ukrainian, Dayana Yastremska, in the 1/8 finals - 0:6, 4:6.

It should be noted that Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk also made it to the quarterfinals of the competition in Hua Hin. In the second round, she defeated the Japanese Nao Hibino - 3:6, 6:7.
