World Athletics has approved the applications of six Russian athletes to become neutral.

The Doping Control Board (DRB) agreed that the applications of these athletes meet the necessary requirements.

Neutral status received: Nikita Anishchenkov (high jump), Artem Chermoshansky (long jump), Maxim Pyanzin (race walking), Nikita Kurbanov (high jump), Danilo Chechela (long jump) and Marina Kovaleva (marathon).

Neutrals are reported to be able to compete until the next World Athletics Council meeting in March.

Recall, the International Olympic Committee called for the admission of representatives of the Russian Federation and Belarus to international competitions in a neutral status, provided that they were not seen actively supporting the war in Ukraine and comply with doping laws..
