The Ukrainian national team completed the performance at the Winter Universiade 2023, which was held in the American Lake Placid.

Ukrainians won six medals - one gold, one silver and four bronze.

Snowboarder Mikhail Haruka wins a gold medal in parallel giant slalom. Biathlete Dmitry Grushchak brought silver to the national team in the pursuit. Ukrainians also won bronze medals in biathlon and snowboarding..

In the medal standings, the Ukrainian team took 18th place, which was a repetition of the worst result of the 1995 Winter Universiade.

The best is the second place in the standings of the competition in 2003.

Japan won the medal standings (48 medals, 21+17+10), while the top 3 included the Republic of Korea (29, 12+8+9) and Canada (13, 6+1+6).

The Winter Universiade 2023 is a student competition in 12 sports. 43 teams fought in them.
