After Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Formula 1 terminated the contract to host the Grand Prix in the territory of the occupying country. The Russian Federation was also deprived of the right to broadcast races - the organization stopped cooperation with the Match TV propaganda channel.

Now the head of the " Russia will no longer be the host of the Formula 1 stage, as this is contrary to the values \u200b\u200b\u200b\u200bof the organization.

Note that the Formula 1 contract with Russia was calculated until 2025.. Since 2014, the stage has been held in Sochi, since the 2023 season, the Russian Grand Prix was planned to be held on the new Igora Drive track near St. Petersburg.

Earlier it was reported that the four-time Formula 1 champion, who supports Ukraine, announced his retirement.
