Ukrainian swimmer Romanchuk became European champion in Italy

Ukrainian swimmer Mikhail Romanchuk won gold in the 1500m freestyle at the European Aquatics Championships, which is taking place these days in Rome, Italy.

The Ukrainian finished with the result of 14:36.10 minutes, ahead of the Italian Gregorio Paltrinieri (14:39. 79) and Frenchman Damien Joly (14:50. 86).

Note that this is Romanchuk's second gold at the European Championships.. Romanchuk also broke the record of Ukraine, which belonged to him (14:36.88).



Recall that Mikhail Romanchuk is a leading Ukrainian swimmer. Romanchuk is a multiple champion and winner of the European championships, the Universiade, and also twice became the silver medalist of the World Championship. Romanchuk won silver and bronze at the 2022 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
