The results of the Russian Olympic champion-2004 Elena Slesarenko, shown for the period from 2013 to 2016, were canceled due to doping.

The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) Independent Authority to Combat Negative Phenomena in Athletics reported this.. The decision was made based on the analysis of the LIMS database.

Note that Slesarenko ended her career in 2014 and was already serving a doping ban in 2008-2012..

Two more Russians were punished for doping.

Hammer thrower Kirill Ikonnikov, who was already serving an 8-year suspension, received a suspension for 2 years.

Runner Elena Arzhakova also received a new elimination - for 2 years. The 32-year-old 2011 European Indoor Champion won't be able to compete until July 2024. Arzhakova was disqualified in 2013-2015. Then she was deprived of the gold medal of the European championship in the 800 meters..

Recall that the “gold” of the 2014 World Championships in rowing was taken away from Russia and given to Ukraine.
