Ukrainian referee Ekaterina Monzul spoke about the beginning of the war with Russia.

" This is a difficult situation for every Ukrainian family, because families are divided.

When the war started, no one could believe it at first. My family moved to my parents' house and we lived underground - in a special place in the house. We were there for five days.

It was stressful and it was hard.

When we left Ukraine, we had no idea what we would do next,"

Monzul also thanked the European referees who helped her adapt in Europe, as well as UEFA, where they entrusted her to referee matches of the European Women's Championship, despite the fact that her condition after moving was far from ideal.

" World peace is the most important. I hope so,"

Recall that the Ukrainian, who managed to get out of the occupied Kherson region, for the first time in his career climbed the podium of the World Championships in Athletics.
