The International Union of Modern Pentathlon (UIPM) suspended athletes from Russia and Belarus from all tournaments.

The Modern Pentathlon Federation of Ukraine appealed to the UIPM, after which the organization decided to impose sanctions.

Up to 150 athletes in all age categories were banned. They will not be able to compete even under neutral status.

At the same time, Gutzeit noted that representatives of the Russian Federation and Belarus still remain in senior positions in the UIPM and the European association EAMP.
