On Thursday, July 14, the Pitmen started a training camp in the Netherlands. The Donetsk club is preparing for the new season under the guidance of Croatian specialist Igor Jovicevich, who replaced Italian Roberto De Zerbi as head coach.

Shakhtar took first place in the 2021/22 Premier League, which was completed ahead of schedule due to the full-scale invasion of Russian invaders.
