Former head coach of Dnipro-1 Igor Jovicevich has predictably become the new coach of Shakhtar Donetsk.

The contract with the 48-year-old coach was signed for a period of 2 years. Jovicevic became the 35th head coach in the history of Shakhtar.
Recall that Jovicevic played as part of the Karpaty in 2003. In 2012, he returned to the Lviv club as an assistant coach, and three years later became a full-fledged team coach. Managed to train Slovenian Celje and Dinamo Zagreb. In 2020, he returned to the UPL and headed SC Dnipro-1, with whom he finished third last season and received the right to play in the Europa League.
