Ukraine won five medals on the third day of the 2022 World Games

At the 2022 World Games in Birmingham, USA, the third competitive day took place, following which the Ukrainian team won five medals.

Ukrainian athletes competed in three sports - powerlifting, parachuting and sumo. Two of them won awards..

In powerlifting, Aleksey Bychkov (heavyweight) became the champion, while Tatyana Melnik won bronze in the heavyweight division..

In sumo, Ukrainians won three more medals - Ivanna Berezovskaya became the champion, and Svetlana Yaremka closed the top 3 in open competitions for women. It is worth noting that Berezovskaya defeated Yaremka in the semifinals.



Another winner in sumo was Alexander Veresyuk, who took third place in men's open competitions..
