Ukraine won 13 medals on the second competitive day at the 2022 World Games

Ukrainian athletes won 13 awards on the second day of competition at the 2022 World Games in Birmingham, USA.

Ukrainians won prizes in four sports - scuba diving, karate, powerlifting and sumo.

Anita Seregina (karate), Vladimir Rysiev (powerlifting), as well as sumo wrestlers Svetlana Yaromka and Vazha Daiauri became champions of the World Games.

At the same time, Yaromka defeated Ivanna Berezovskaya in the Ukrainian final.

According to the results of two competitive days, the Ukrainian team has 17 medals - 6 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze. This puts the team in second place in the medal standings behind Colombia..

The World Games are the equivalent of the Olympics for non-Olympic sports.
