Ukrainian Maria Gangur became the European champion in weightlifting, which takes place in Albania.

Gangur won three medals in the weight category up to 64 kg, two of which were gold.

Maria won a small gold medal in the snatch (102 kg) and a small bronze medal in the clean and jerk (120 kg).

With a total result of 222 kg, Gangur took first place, ahead of Nurai Gungor from Turkey..

Note that Ukrainian weightlifters have already won 11 medals at the European Championships in Tirana. 18 athletes represent the Ukrainian team at the tournament.
