Seasons in most football leagues in Europe have come to an end. According to their results, the clubs that will represent their countries in European competitions in the 2022/23 campaign were determined.

26 participating teams directly got into the main European club tournament, among them Shakhtar Donetsk. Having taken first place in the 2021/22 UPL season, which was completed ahead of schedule due to a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukrainian territories, the Pitmen received a direct ticket to the 2022/23 Champions League.
