Ex-world champion in three divisions Vasily Lomachenko (16-2, 11 KOs) spoke about his future boxing plans for the first time since the start of a full-scale invasion of Russia in Ukraine.

“Now is not the time, but the goal remains the same,” wrote Lomachenko on Instagram, hinting at the absolute championship.

Recall that on February 24, Russian President Putin made an urgent statement about conducting a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine, launching a large-scale invasion of Ukrainian cities..

Lomachenko joined the defense of Belgorod-Dnestrovsky in the Odessa region with the beginning of the war.

Vasily Lomachenko defeated Richard Commey in New York by unanimous decision in his last fight.

During the war, Lomachenko had the option to leave Ukraine and fight for the title of absolute world champion with Australian George Kambosos, but the Ukrainian refused and remained in the country.

George Kambosos became the absolute champion after defeating the offender of the Ukrainian Teofimo Lopez.
