The International Skating Union (ISU) has deprived Russia of the right to host the Grand Prix stage in figure skating in the 2022/23 season.
According to the press service of the organization, the tournament was supposed to be held on November 25-27 of this year, but now the Russian Federation will not be able to host it due to the military invasion of Ukraine.
The Union condemned the Russian leadership for the decision to unleash a war in Ukraine. On the territory of Russia it is forbidden to hold any competitions under the auspices of the ISU.
It is also worth noting that due to military aggression, Russian and Belarusian figure skaters are forbidden to compete in international tournaments..
