Ukrainian chess players beat Norway in a charity match

The Ukrainian men's chess team held a charity match with Norway and won with a score of 11:5.

The fight was held in an online format, and all the proceeds will be used to help Ukrainians affected by the military invasion of Russia.

Ukraine was represented by Vasily Ivanchuk, Kirill Shevchenko, Yuriy Kuzubov and Oleksandr Moiseyenko. The world's best chess player Magnus Carlsen, Arjan Tari, Johan-Sebastian Christiansen and Oscar Gag played for Norway.

Ukraine has not lost a single round, despite two wins in Carlsen's matches and one by Christiansen.

Ukraine - Norway - 11:5 (2.5:1.5; 3:1; 2.5:1.5; 3:1).

Round 1: Ivanchuk 0-1 Carlsen; Shevchenko - Tare 0.5:0.5; Kuzubov - Christiansen 1:0; Moiseenko - Gag 0.5:0.5.

2nd round: Ivanchuk - Tare 1:0; Shevchenko - Christian 1:0; Kuzubov - Gag 1:0;

Moiseenko - Carlsen 0:1.

Round 3: Ivanchuk - Christiansen 0:1; Shevchenko - Gag 1:0; Kuzubov - Carlsen 1:0; Moiseenko - Tare 0.5:0.5.

4th round: Ivanchuk - Gag 1:0; Shevchenko - Carlsen 1:0; Kuzubov - Tari 0.5:0.5; Moiseenko - Christiansen 0.5:0.5.
