Shakhtar Donetsk played the third match as part of their charity Eurotour in support of Ukraine during the war against Russian invaders. The Pitmen's players went to the match against Turkish Fenerbahce in Istanbul in special T-shirts.

On the shoulders of the players of the Donetsk club were tied the flags of Ukraine, and on the T-shirts there was an image of four-year-old Alice, who all the days of the war was hiding from the shells of Russian troops in the bomb shelter of Mariupol.

"

The Pitmen's press service explained that in this way they wanted to demonstrate to the world the horrors of the war that the Russian Federation unleashed against Ukraine.

" Suffering, pain, tears, fear of Ukrainian children instead of joy, laughter and fun.

Together we must return peace to Ukraine," It should be noted that the match ended with a minimal defeat of the Pitmen with a score of 0:1. The only goal of the meeting in the 26th minute was scored by the Ecuadorian striker of Fenerbahce Enner Valencia.

Recall that in previous charity matches, the Donetsk team lost to the Greek Olympiacos - then 102 thousand euros were raised for the needs of Ukrainians, and also beat the Polish Lechia thanks to a goal by a 12-year-old fan from Mariupol.
