Legendary cyclist Jan Ulrich decided to help Ukrainian children. The former athlete held a charity auction where he sold his bike, which won the Tour de France in 1997.

48-year-old German sent all collected 40 thousand euros to help Ukraine. They will be used to purchase medicines, food and other essentials for Ukrainian refugee children through the Heart for Children foundation..



Jan Ullrich - winner of the Tour de France 1997 and Vuelta 1999. Also, the German became the Olympic champion in 2000 and twice (in 1999 and 2001) won the gold of the World Championship in the section.

Recall that the striker of Shakhtar Donetsk and the national team of Ukraine Daniil Sikan sold at auction a gold medal for the victorious U-20 World Championship in order to raise funds for the defenders of Ukraine - the National Guard, the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the territorial defense.
