Ukrainian snooker player Yulian Boyko managed to overcome the starting round of the World Snooker Championship, which started in English Sheffield.
Our 16-year-old compatriot in his first match at the tournament defeated Michael Georgiou from Cyprus with a score of 6:4. And he did this by issuing the so-called hundredth break, scoring exactly 100 points in the last, 10th frame.. For the young Ukrainian snooker player, this is the first victory at the level of world championships.
The planetary championship in Sheffield for Boyko was already the third in his career, but the previous two years he had already dropped out in the first round of qualification.
After his success, Boyko said that he dedicates this victory to his country, which is now fighting the Russian invaders..
" I hope that this result will please people in Ukraine. I think I had a brilliant match. I am very happy with this victory and I hope that I will have momentum for the next round,"
We add that Julian previously admitted that he would have defended Ukraine with weapons if he had been older.. "
