During the shelling of the building of the Nikolaev Regional State Administration by Russian invaders, the father of the 2008 Olympic champion in fencing in the team saber Elena Gladyr (Khomrova) - Nikolay Khomrova, died.

As a result, the central section of the building was destroyed from the ninth to the first floor.. The death toll as a result of the shelling is constantly growing - as of April 2, it was 38 people.
Also in the building of the Nikolaev Regional State Administration, the secretary of the head of the region Vitaly Kim died.
