Ukrainian Greco-Roman wrestler Alexander Grushin won a bronze medal at the European Championship 2022 in Budapest.
Grushin performs in the weight category up to 63 kg. In a skirmish for bronze, the Ukrainian defeated the German Etienne Kinsinger.
This is the first medal of the adult European Championship for Grushin. Gold in this weight was received by the Georgian Leri Abuladze, who knocked out Grushin in the 1/4 finals.
Earlier, his wife Alina Grushina-Akobia became the European champion.
Recall that the Ukrainian men's freestyle wrestling team refused to participate in the European Championship and remained in Ukraine to defend their country from Russian invaders.
