Ukrainian athlete Valentina Veretskaya won the marathon in Jerusalem with a score of 2:45:54.

Veretskaya and her daughter were taken in by a family in Poland. Her husband stayed in Ukraine and is fighting. According to the woman, her house in Nikolaev was destroyed, and because of the war she could not train.
