Two-time Paralympic paracanoe champion Sergei Yemelyanov decided to help the Ukrainian army in the fight against Russian invaders.
The athlete decided to sell his gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics and transfer the proceeds to our soldiers, as he announced on his Facebook page.

Yemelyanov won gold at both the 2016 Olympics and the 2020 Olympics in the KL3 class - among athletes with lower limb impairment.
Earlier, Ukrainian karateka Stanislav Goruna announced his readiness to sell the bronze medal of the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo to help the armed forces of Ukraine.
