The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has published a resolution on the non-admission of athletes from Russia and Belarus to international competitions against the backdrop of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

This resolution contains a recommendation to international sports federations and organizers of sporting events not to invite or allow the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes and officials in international competitions.

Athletes from the Russian Federation and Belarus should be accepted to participate in competitions only in a neutral status.

The IOC Executive Board has maintained a strong recommendation not to host international sporting events in aggressor countries.

In addition, persons from the government of the Russian Federation are excluded from the Olympic Order - Putin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko and Dmitry Kozak - Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration.

The IOC Executive Board expressed solidarity with Ukraine and established a special fund, continuing to work with the National Olympic Committee (NOC).
