On Wednesday, February 16, Ukraine finally won the first award at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing. Freestyler Alexander Abramenko became a silver medalist in individual competitions in ski acrobatics.

The Ukrainian took part in the awards ceremony, where he took a joint photo with the winners in ski acrobatics Russian Ilya Burov and Chinese Guangpu Qi.

Abramenko and the Russian athlete gave each other five.

And after that, Burov from the back put the Ukrainian in his arms. A similar situation occurred at the 2018 Olympics - Abramenko and Burov hugged on a podium.

Recall that at the Games in Tokyo there was a scandal because of the joint photos of the Ukrainian athlete Yaroslava Maguchy and Russian Maria Lasitskene. After that, the Ministry of Youth and Sports before the games in Beijing decided to ban standing next to the Russians and their symbols at the 2022 Olympics.
