Ukrainian athlete Maria Gangur won a gold medal at the World Weightlifting Championship, which takes place in Tashkent (Uzbekistan).

According to the Weightlifting Federation of Ukraine, Gangur performed in the weight category up to 59 kg and managed to become the first in the snatch exercise, having conquered the weight of the barbell 101 kg. The weightlifter made three clean attempts and in the third took a weight that her rivals could not repeat.

At the same time, in the double event, the Ukrainian took the weight of 215 kg and took fourth place..

This is the third medal for the Ukrainian national team at the World Cup in Uzbekistan. Earlier, Svetlana Samulyak won bronze in the double event and silver in the snatch in the weight category up to 55 kg..
