The third competitive day has come to an end at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo, all 44 sets of awards have already been drawn on August 27.
The Ukrainian national team won 13 medals on Friday: 2 gold (Mariana Shevchuk - in powerlifting; Anna Stetsenko - in swimming), 7 silver (Vladislav Bely - in javelin throw; Sergey Klippert, Andrey Trusov, Ekaterina Denisenko, Kirill Garashchenko - swimming; Evgeniya Breus, Natalia Mandrik, Elena Fedota and Natalia Morkvich - in team fencing; Anastasia Moskalenko - in throwing a club) and 4 bronze medals (Yulia Pavlenko - in long jump);
Egor Dementyev - in cycling; Julia Ivanitskaya and Natalia Nikolaychuk - in judo).
After three days of competition, the " In terms of the number of awards, our country takes 4th place. In the medal standings, Ukrainians are ninth.
Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 kicked off on August 24 and will run until September 5, 2021. Competitions were postponed for a year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The honor of Ukraine is defended by 143 Paralympians in 15 sports.
