The scandal with the Ukrainian athlete Marina Kilipko at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo became one of the loudest at competitions in domestic sports. After performing in the pole vault sector, the athlete with tears in her eyes complained that her coach was not in the official delegation that went to the capital of Japan, although the sports leadership promised that it would help resolve this issue.
Later, the only Ukrainian champion of Tokyo and MP Zhan Beleniuk said that such a situation was not normal, and said that an athlete coach could well be taken to the 2020 Games instead of one of 15 sports officials.
