On Friday, August 6, the 3rd round of the Ukrainian Premier League kicked off in Kharkiv with a duel in which Metalist 1925 and Chernomorets met.. The game turned out to be very productive and ended in favor of the hosts with a score of 3: 2.

In the 2021/22 season, the UPL has been expanded from 14 to 16 teams that will play in two rounds. The newcomers of the elite division are Chernomorets, Veres and Metalist-1925.

In the next round, Kharkiv will play against Shakhtar on August 13, and Odessans will face Mariupol on August 16.
