Metalist 1925 won their debut match in the Ukrainian Premier League. With the support of the stands of the home OSK Metalist, the Kharkiv team beat the Lviv Rukh.

The match of the 1st round of the Premier League ended with a score of 2: 1 in favor of the home team.

The Kharkov club in the 7th minute brought forward Yuri Batyushin, and in the 35th minute Dmitry Kryskov secured the advantage of the debutant of the elite division.

In the second half, Orest Kuzyk won back one goal, but Lviv did not manage to escape from defeat.

In the second round, Metalist 1925 will play on the road against Kolos on July 30.

Rukh will face off against Vorskla on August 1 in Poltava.
