The French national team drew with the Portuguese national team in the match of the third round of Group F of Euro 2020. The meeting at the Puskas Arena stadium in Budapest ended with a score of 2: 2.

The first half of the fight turned out to be not particularly spectacular. The teams exchanged goals scored, but both of them were the result of two penalty shots.

In the 31st minute, the score in the match, having converted a penalty, opened Cristiano Ronaldo. Already in compensated time for the first half of the game, parity was restored by Karim Benzema, who also confidently converted the 11-meter kick.

In the debut of the second half, the French took the lead. Benzema went on a date with Rui Patriciu and outplayed him with a blow to the far corner. The goal was first canceled due to Karim's alleged offside position, but VAR corrected this mistake.

In the 60th minute, the score became equal again.

It was Ronaldo who scored a double, using the second penalty, which was awarded to Hugo Lloris.

The French could snatch victory after a long-range strike from Paul Pogba, but Patricio played brilliantly, who moved the ball to the crossbar.

France finished first in Group F with 5 points. Germany (4 points) - second, Portugal (4) - third, Hungary (2) - last.

The 2 strongest teams of each quartet and 4 winners of the best third places will advance to the 1/8 finals.
