The authoritative Italian publication Tuttosport has presented the list of nominees for the title of the best young football player in Europe - Golden Boy-2021.

Among the contenders for the award were two Ukrainians: Dynamo Kiev defender Ilya Zabarny and Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper Anatoly Trubin. Both are now in the Ukrainian national team at Euro 2020.

The list of nominees consists of 100 football players under the age of 21 who play in one of the European championships.

Last year Norwegian Erling Holland from Borussia Dortmund received the title of the best young player in Europe.

In 2019, the Portuguese striker of Atletico Madrid, Joao Felish, became the laureate of the award. Ukrainian goalkeeper Andriy Lunin is in the top 15 of the final list.

As TSN Prosport previously reported, two Ukrainians were in the top 30 football players in the world under the age of 20.
