Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usik received an offer from the International Boxing Federation (IBF) to fight against Croatian heavyweight champion Philip Hrgovich.

This was announced by the promoter of the 34-year-old Ukrainian Alexander Krasyuk on his Instagram.

At stake in this fight will be the status of a mandatory contender for the IBF title, which is owned by Briton Anthony Joshua.

It was planned that Khrgovich will fight against American Michael Hunter, but he refused.

We add that Usyk is a mandatory contender for the WBO belt, which is owned by Joshua. A.J. was supposed to defend the title in a fight with Alexander, but postponed the fight with the Ukrainian in order to fight Tyson Fury for the title of undisputed world heavyweight champion.

The Ukrainian negotiated a fight with Briton Joe Joyce for the title of the official contender for the WBO championship belt, but the boxing teams could not agree.



Usyk defeated Derek Chisora \u200b\u200bin the last fight and defended the title of mandatory contender for the WBO belt. Alexander won all of his 18 career fights, two of which he spent in the heavyweight division.

28-year-old Khrgovich, nicknamed " The last time a Croat, whose height is 198 cm, entered the ring in November last year, when he defeated the American Rydell Booker by TKO.

Earlier TSN Prosport wrote that Usyk will not be allowed to fight for the championship belt. This was stated by the manager of the Ukrainian Egis Klimas.
