Juventus celebrity goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon accused of blasphemy and could be punished with a one-game suspension.
According to Football Italia, the Italian Football Federation has opened an investigation into the incident that occurred on December 19 during the match of the 13th round of Serie A Parma - Juventus (0: 4).
Probably the 42-year-old goalkeeper said an obscene phrase.
The goalkeeper's words were recorded by audio devices, but the incident did not come to the attention of the referee team and none of the cameras, so the disciplinary committee did not make any decisions at the end of the match.
Note that blasphemy is considered the worst form of swearing in Italian.. If Buffon's guilt is proven, he will be disqualified for one match..
Last season, Fiorentina head coach Giuseppe Yachini and defender Martin Caceres were banned for blasphemy.. In the 2020/21 campaign, Roma midfielder Brian Cristante was suspended for one match for the same reason.
