According to The Telegraph, the 31-year-old Brazilian refused the MLS club, co-owned by the famous footballer David Beckham.

The Americans offered the midfielder a long-term contract with a salary of 100 thousand pounds per week, but the player did not agree, because he wants to continue his career in Europe and prove himself in European competitions.

Willian's current Chelsea contract expires at the end of the season.

The parties have not yet agreed to extend it, because they have disagreements regarding the terms of cooperation - the “blue” are ready to offer the Brazilian a new agreement for 2 years, and the player wants a year more.

This season, Willian spent 44 matches for Chelsea, scored 11 goals and gave away 9 assists.

Willian played for Shakhtar from 2007 to 2013. The midfielder also played for the Brazilian Corinthians and the Russian Anji.
