The International Football Federation (FIFA) has introduced new recommendations due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Players are allowed to play in one season at three different clubs. The innovation is temporary and takes effect immediately.

In addition, national federations are allowed to conduct the first phase of club licensing and calendar planning for the next season 2020/21 during the current season to complete the championships in the initial squads.
In accordance with the previous rule of the FIFA regulation, a football player within one national federation could be declared for only one club within 12 months of the season.
FIFA did not name the validity period of the innovation.
FIFA and IFAB previously amended the rules of the game of football due to coronavirus, allowing 5 substitutions during the match.
