UPL Executive Director Yevgeny Dikiy spoke about the situation with the resumption of the season in the elite Ukrainian division.
The restart, originally planned for May 30, was postponed to June 6. All because of the limited number of participants in mass events, which so far cannot exceed 50 people.
According to NEWS Football, UPL appealed to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine with a request to allow competitions with up to 200 people. Expect to receive an answer by May 25.
" We are waiting for permission from the Ministry to increase the number of participants. Only after that we can talk about the restart date of the Championship of Ukraine.
We are in contact with all clubs.
There is an understanding that if we have permissions from the Ministry of Health and the UAF executive committee, we’ll be ready to start on May 30, "
Since May 22, the Cabinet of Ministers has authorized sporting events. The league restarts with matches of the 24th round, within which Shakhtar and Dynamo will fight. All-Ukrainian derby may take place in Kiev, but not in Kharkov.
Earlier, the media released the calendar of playing out matches of the Championship and Cup of Ukraine after the restart of the season.
After 23 rounds, Shakhtar lead in the standings, Dynamo is in third place, behind Dawn.
