The leadership of the German Football Union has reduced the minimum age of players to participate in the matches of the first and second Bundesliga.

Starting next season, players who are over 16 years old can enter the field in fights of these tournaments. In the current Bundesliga draw, the minimum threshold is 16 years and 6 months.

Thus, the NSF brought its charter in line with the rules of other European leagues.

According to Kicker, the initiator of the changes was the Dortmund Borussia. Next season, “bumblebees” are going to use the 15-year-old Yussuf Mukoko, who demonstrates fantastic game performance in the U-19 championship - 34 goals in 20 matches.
