Biot, 26, won the Big Crystal Globe for the second time in his career, the first he won last season. Fourcade won the World Cup for seven years before that..

The third place in the overall classification was taken by the Frenchman Cantin Fillon-Maye. The best result among Ukrainians is Dmitry Podruchny, who finished the season in 17th place.

Recall that the stage in Kontiolahti was the last of the season, since the ninth stage of the Biathlon World Cup, which was to be held in the Norwegian Holmenkollen, was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Kontiolahti mixed relay races scheduled for Sunday are also canceled.
