Kiev “Dynamo” in the match of the 19th round of the Ukrainian Premier League with great difficulty defeated the Poltava “Vorskla” - 2: 1.

The first official match after the winter break, the “white and blue” was held at the Lobanovsky stadium because of the punishment for racism in the game with Shakhtar. The meeting was held without fans, with the exception of children under 14 years old.

In the first half, the teams did not play at high speeds, which resulted in the absence of goals.

Immediately after the break, Alexey Mikhaylichenko’s wards took the lead - Vitaliy Buyalsky received the ball from Nazariy Rusin and threw it from the inexperienced keeper Dmitry Reznik from a decent distance.

Wards of Yuri Maximov unexpectedly equalized in the 62nd minute - Perduta performed a jewelry pitch on the head of Stepanyuk, and Ruslan sent the ball into the goal.

Kiev struggled to snatch victory and succeeded in the end of the meeting. At the first of three compensated minutes, Benjamin Verbic brought “white-blue” three points, in the fall finishing off the ball into the net after the goalkeeper of Poltava parried away Rusin’s shot.

We add that for the first time in the UPL the video retry system (VAR) was working, but the referee team did not need to check its work.

The victory returned the team of Alexei Mikhaylichenko to second place in the UPL standings. Kievans are 2 points ahead of Zorya and 11 points behind the leader of the Shakhtar championship, who will hold a home game tomorrow against Desna.

“Vorskla” with 14 points takes the penultimate, 11th position.
