Ukrainian boxer Sergey Derevyanchenko this year may get a fight for the WBC middleweight title with American Jermall Charlo.
This is reported on Twitter by the famous insider and journalist of The Athletic Mike Coppinger.
Soon Charlo will have to defend his title, and Derevyanchenko topped the updated WBC middleweight rating, which paves the way for a fight between boxers.
In the last fight, Derevyanchenko lost the title fight to Kazakh Gennady Golovkin by a decision of the judges. The Ukrainian has 13 wins (10 by knockout) and 2 losses in the professional ring.
The record of 29-year-old Charlo has 30 wins (22 by KO) in 30 fights.
Earlier, Derevyanchenko stated that he would like to have a rematch with Golovkin or to fight the Mexican Saul Alvarez.
