Manchester City may be barred from playing in the Champions League.
In May of this year, the UEFA Investigation Chamber of the club’s financial control body announced that the “citizens” did not comply with the rules for registering players and the principles of financial fair play. The case was referred to the Trial Chamber with a recommendation to impose sanctions on the English club.
The final decision should have been made in December, but the trial was extended until the end of January, reports Dailymail.
It is not yet known whether the Manchester club will be punished.
Recall that in November the Sports Arbitration Court (CAS) in Lausanne rejected the appeal of Manchester City to the UEFA decision to open an investigation against the club.
