Jim brought Ukraine the first medal at the 2019/20 Biathlon World Cup

Ukrainian biathlete Yulia Jima won the silver medal in the individual race at the first stage of the 2019/20 World Cup in Ostersund, Sweden.

Jim did not make a single mistake at the four firing lines and overcame a distance of 15 kilometers with a second result. Ukrainka became the only one of hundreds of athletes that started, covering all 20 targets at the shooting range. The Frenchwoman Justine Brezaz won the race, she was eleven seconds ahead of our Julia. “Bronze” took another Frenchwoman Julie Simon. In addition to Jima, four more Ukrainians performed in the individual race:

Valentina Semerenko, Vita Semerenko, Daria Blashko and Anastasia Merkushina.
