Hungarian “Ferencvaros”, coached by Ukrainian Sergey Rebrov, painted in his native walls a super-productive draw with “Espanyol” (2: 2).
The meeting, which took place as part of the 5th round of the group stage of the Europa League, started better for the hosts. David Seeger on 12 minutes struck the opponent's goalkeeper and brought his team forward.
Note that the Ukrainian Igor Kharatin appeared in the starting lineup of Ferencvaros. He spent all 90 minutes on the field. At 61 minutes Alexander Zubkov also strengthened the game of the Hungarians. Out of the application, Rebrov decided to leave Daniil Ignatenko.
At the 31st minute, the Spaniards managed to restore parity thanks to the ball from Oscar Melendo. After that, the main events in this meeting developed exclusively in the final period of time.
13 minutes before the end of regular time, the football player “Ferencvaros” Isael failed to realize a penalty. However, already in extra time, Michal Shkvarka showed his teammate how to score “from the point”.
It would seem that the Hungarians would win, but the exact blow of Sergi Dardera made it possible to equalize the score, “Espanyol” and thus get a draw.
In the last minutes of the game, the hosts received a removal - Eldar Civik.
After this result, “Ferencvaros” scored six points and remained on the third line in the group standings. As for “Espanyol”, they scored 11 points and from the first place qualified in the playoff of the tournament.
We add that in a parallel match of the quartet, the Bulgarian “Ludogorets” played a draw against CSKA Moscow (1: 1).
The ball from Claudiu Kesheru (66), the Russians answered with a goal by Fedor Chalov (76).
Ludogorets scored seven points and remained in second position. CSKA, in turn, with two points takes the fourth line and leaves the competition. For the second ticket to the 1/16 finals in the last round, Ferencvaros and Ludogorets will compete in absentia.
