The sixth racket of the planet Elina Svitolina recently opened a charity fund for the development of tennis in Ukraine.

A 25-year-old athlete held a press conference on this occasion, where she spoke about the creation and implementation of this project..

Note that in September the fund opened a children's tennis camp, in which the 20 most promising. Master classes and training were held for them.. According to them, the first four young tennis players were selected, who will take part in the foundation's programs: Anastasia Chernyakova, Elizaveta Kotlyar, Maxim Kalabishka and Alexander Vysochenko. They are all 12 years old..

Also, on the occasion of the opening of the charity fund, a gala evening will be held on November 23. It will feature donated T-shirt and racket from Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal respectively. Before that, Svitolina, together with her boyfriend Gael Monfils, will hold a master class for beginner tennis players.. Regarding the opening of the fund, Elina noted that this is her gratitude to Ukraine.

“Tennis has given me a lot - and now it's my turn to help, share my own experience and knowledge, as well as provide new opportunities for those who are just starting their journey.

My goal is to open the doors of big sport to children in my native Ukraine, and possibly to light new Ukrainian stars on the world sports arena.

My foundation will give a grant to these young tennis players, training under the guidance of leading coaches in Europe and, of course, trips to tournaments and my consultations.
