Opponent of 25-year-old Svitolina will be the representative of Switzerland Belinda Bencic, who now occupies the seventh line in the WTA ranking.

Bencic got a ticket to the semifinals of the competition after playing the 2nd round of the group stage against Kiki Bertens (Netherlands). Having won the first set with a score of 7: 5, Belinda was ahead in the second installment (1: 0), but Bertens refused to continue the match.
