The Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) has given an official comment regarding the imposition of martial law in certain regions of Ukraine.

The corresponding message appeared on the official website of the main football body of Ukraine.

"At the moment, no recommendations or cautions have been received from the law enforcement or other authorities of Ukraine to the Ukrainian Football Federation regarding restrictions on holding football events in Kiev or regions of the country, including regarding holding such events in 10 regions (Vinnytsia, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson), on the territory of which martial law was introduced.

Also, the FFU did not receive any reservations from UEFA regarding holding matches of the UEFA Champions League and the Europa League in Ukraine during the military state, ”the official statement says.

Recall that the Verkhovna Rada adopted a decree on the introduction of martial law in Ukraine. The corresponding decision was supported by 276 deputies. The law applies to 10 regions: Vinnitsa, Lugansk, Nikolaev, Odessa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Kherson and inland waters of Ukraine Azov-Kerch water area. It will last until December 26.
