Eight-kilometer sprint race took place in Switzerland.

Ukraine was represented by five biathletes: Elena Pidgrushnaya, Vita Semerenko, Yulia Zhuravok, Kristina Dmitrenko and Lyubov Kipyachenkova.

The highest position among Ukrainian women took Pidgrushnaya.

Not having made a single mistake on the firing lines, Elena gave the French team leader Anais Bescon 28 seconds.

The next Ukrainian finished Vita Semerenko (5th place), who also came out "clean" from the firing line. The top 15 also hit Julia Zhuravok (level 15), which only once did not hit the target.

Young Dmitrenko and Kipyachenkova finished in the last 24 and 25 positions respectively.
