"This is an unprecedented documentary for Ukraine. Holders of the Stanley Cup with Ukrainian roots will first appear on domestic screens and tell their stories of formation and recognition ", - said the director of the film Vladimir Mula.
Filming of the documentary takes place in three countries - USA, Canada and Ukraine.
The screenwriter of the picture is the well-known TV presenter and documentary Nikolay Vasilkov, as well as the researcher Evgeny Kolychev.
"The film reveals the connection between the events of the early 20th century, the struggle for independence from Bolshevik Russia, the waves of Ukrainian emigration and modern star figures in North American hockey," shared the screenwriter Nikolai Vasilkov.
